journalWhy We're Not All About The Hush-Hush at Heyday
You might not expect such a small bottle of powder to turn into such a powerful, textured scrub when activated with water, but that's the genius of this two-in-one exfoliant and mask. The kaolin clay soaks up the excess oil and helps bring impurities to the surface. So once done, you'll have smoother, blemish-free skin. A perfect travel companion, too.
We recommend this for
If you experience excess oil and feel that you need a manual exfoliant.
How we use it
As an exfoliant, mix a very small amount in the palm of your hand with a bit of warm water and blend into a creamy paste. Massage onto damp face using very gentle, circular motions. Rinse with warm water.
As a mask, you have three options. (1) Mix with water to make a paste that won't run off your face, or (2) add it to greek yogurt for a clarifying masque, or (3) raw honey for a hydrating masque. Apply to damp skin and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
What to expect
While it has a gritty texture, due to the clay, the mask will foam up a bit as you activate it in your hands. Expect silky smooth feeling skin after use.
I love this product because it brightens without irritating the skin. It's gentle enough that people with sensitive skin can use it. You can mix it with their Vitamin B Oil Cleanser for an extra hydration or just water mix it till it's a paste and leave on as a mask. It's a great way to get rid of impurities and keep your breakouts under control. It also leaves silky smooth skin.
Back of the Bottle
Pineapple contains bromelain, an enzymatic exfoliator that works on the surface of the skin, gently dissolving the dead skin cell buildup that traps sebum and dirt on the skin to clog follicles. 🍍
Kaolin Clay, the mildest of all clays, is used to gently cleanse and exfoliate the skin.
