Ageless Total Retinol-A Creme

The Lowdown

There are few products in which you can get glycolic acid, retinol, and polypeptides at the same time, which makes this cream truly unique. Antioxidant-rich Vitamin A puts in the work to make sure it leaves your skin more supple than where it found it. This night cream is a great addition to your shelf and a very good "beginners retinol" if you're looking to prevent visible signs of aging.

With heavier hitting products like a retinol, we recommend that clients start once a week for a week, then twice a week for two weeks, then three times a week for three weeks. We know when you see a wrinkle, you're like "This came out overnight, I swear," but really, there's no rush. Ease your way in to make sure your skin stays happy.

We recommend this for

If you're someone who is new to retinol but looking for some fine line and/or acne support.

It’s actually a great beginner retinol because it’s not as strong, but you'll still see great results for acne and signs of aging. I use it to stimulate cell turnover in clients who are suffering from hereditary acne.

How we use it

As with all retinol products, our Skin Therapists recommend that clients start once a week for one week, then twice a week for two weeks, then three times a week for three weeks, and so forth. This way we can see how your skin reacts to it. We'd recommend putting this cream on after a hydrating ingredient (like a hyaluronic acid) to help give your skin a bit of hydration support, as rentiols can be drying. Always use this product at night and use an SPF during the day.

What to expect

Retinol, a Vitamin A derivative, has been shown to help with new cell turnover, with discoloration from dark spots, with managing breakouts, with fine lines and wrinkles, and more, and has been around for quite some time. Retinol is known to make you photosensitive, so pair it with an SPF of 30 or greater during the daytime. (There is some research that debunks this, but SPF is always your best aging insurance policy.)

This is one that will bring instant results for those clients that want some serious changes for their skin. I enjoy directing my clients to this product because quite simply it makes them happy about their skin!

Back of the Bottle

  • Retinol

Retinol is a form of Vitamin A that is converted to retinoic acid in the skin. It helps to normalize cell turnover, increase collagen deposition, bind moisture to the skin, and repair photodamaged skin.

  • Shea Butter

Shea Butter, pressed from the fruit of the Shea tree, is a quick-abosrbing, non-greasy butter with the ability to moisturize, soothe, and protect dry and flaky skin. 🌳
