Booking

Your card will only be charged after your service. However, we keep it on file in case of no shows or late cancellations.

We can't wait to meet you! To select your appointment time and Skin Therapist, we'd recommend either booking an appointment online or by calling the shop location you're interested in.

If it's more than 24 hours before your appointment, you can cancel or adjust your time slot through our website or by calling the shop where you booked. If it's within 24 hours of your appointment, give us a ring at the shop where you booked. Please note that in this case we have a $25 cancellation and no-show fee.

You can book as far in advance as your schedule allows! We recommend booking in advance if you'd like to request a specific Skin Therapist or are looking for an evening or weekend appointment (our most popular times in the shop). But, we also accept walk-ins based on availability.

Facials

Before

First and foremost, we're not a spa. You're more likely to hear Stevie Nicks here than pan flutes, and there's no need to change into a robe. However, we encourage you to get cozy and slip off your shoes if you'd like. Plus, each shop is intentionally designed with a semi-open layout. This way, you're free to to chat with and learn from your Skin Therapist, but still relax and enjoy some you-time.

We're so excited to be your first facial! You don't need to do too much to prepare. During the few days beforehand, don't do any heavy exfoliation, peels, waxing, or other procedures. While we don't use steamers, beware that any false lashes or microbladed eyebrows can be affected by a facial. For those with facial hair, try not to shave the day of your facial. The only other thing to do is just be open and honest with your Skin Therapist about what treatments you've done, what your goals are, and what products you use at home. There is no shame in any answer and your honesty helps us craft the best treatment for you.

One facial can get great results, but where you can really see (and feel) a huge difference is with regular treatments. We recommend getting facials once a month as on average, skin cells turn over about every 28 days.

Children have delicate skin that's in a constant state of growth and flux. To keep young skin safe, we don't perform facials on anyone 14 years old or under, and recommend seeing a dermatologist for any serious skin issues. Anyone between the ages of 15 and 17 will need a parent or guardian with them to fill out and sign an intake form. However, they don't need to stay for the remainder of the session.

Facials during pregnancy are safe, but please make sure you leave a note when booking your appointment so that our Host and Skin Therapist team can set up properly. All of our Skin Therapists are trained on what to avoid during pregnancy, so they'll need to adjust certain ingredients and modalities to prevent contradictions. As a bonus precaution, we encourage checking with your doctor first to ask if there are any specific ingredients they'd like you to avoid.

We kindly ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled treatment time to check in. But we know life happens sometimes. If you're running late, please give us a heads up by calling the location you're booked at. We'll always do our best to accommodate you, whether that’s fitting you in for a shorter treatment, having you first in line for the next opening, or rescheduling you for another time.

This helps build a profile for your Skin Therapist to reference before and during your treatment. You can fill it out online before your session or when you arrive for your appointment.

For sure, but timing is important. We recommend waiting 7-10 days to receive a facial after receiving botox, although you can get a facial at anytime before botox. Either way, be sure to let your Skin Therapist and Botox doctor know about both services.

Not until it the scab has fully shed and the skin behind it has healed. Whether it's an active or healing coldstore, the movements of facial massage can actually exacerbate the lesion, or cause it to spread to the eye area. Both are a pretty serious risk, which is why Skin Therapists practice under these specific guidelines. If you have a sore currently, you'll want to continue your regimen at home and bump up hydration, so your skin is ready to go for your next treatment.

During

We treat sensitization, inflammation, acne conditions like blackheads, papules, pustules, breakouts, pigmentation issues, signs of aging, dehydration, and seasonal skin changes and challenges. We do not extract milia (which requires a lancet) or anything that requires a dermatologist's medical opinion.

It's crucial to tell your Skin Therapist about your allergies, medications (both oral and topical), and health conditions—even if they don't seem like they'd have to do with your skin. We also ask that you let them know if you have recently had any procedures (i.e. fillers, botox), surgeries, or if you are or expect you might be pregnant.

We offer microdermabrasion, chemical peels, microcurrent, LED light therapy, and Gua Sha. Just chat with your Skin Therapist to determine which is the best fit for you. All enhancements are between $20-$40.

After

Just like other service industry experiences, 20-25% is considered an appropriate gratuity amount. But of course, if you'd like to leave some extra love for a stellar experience, you're very welcome to do so. We aim to have a streamlined checkout process, so you can leave your tip either in cash or on your card.

Although we aim to make our checkout process as streamlined as possible, we totally get that post-facial haze. If you forget to check out after your service, we'll automatically apply a 20% gratuity to your service.

Cash is preferred for gratuity, but don't sweat it if you don't have any on you. We accept gratuity on credit cards as well.

Our experts recommend waiting at least 1 week between treatments. Please be sure to tell your Skin Therapist when you last received it so they are aware of recent changes to your skin.

Our facials are very safe, so you'll be able to go right back to your activities. That being said, we don't recommend exercising after facials in which you've done microdermabrasion.

Feel free to apply makeup after a facial, but we recommend being extra thorough with sanitation to avoid undoing any of the benefits from your recent facial. Clean makeup brushes are always your friend!

Memberships

The goal of our memberships is to keep your skin healthy and glowing which we believe is best maintained on a monthly cadence. But, we also understand that life gets busy. We allow for 2 rollovers per year, but please note this must be requested by the end of the missed month.

Going out of town? Need a break? Members are granted 2 membership freezes per year that can each last up to 3 months each. Just shoot us an email at hello@heydayskincare.com and we'll work it out.

Memberships have a six-month minimum commitment so that you can truly see and feel the difference of regular facial maintenance. If you cancel during this period, there is a $100 early cancelation charge. After that, the membership operates on a month-to-month basis which you can cancel at any time without penalty. Online Orders

Please email hello@heydayskincare.com if you'd like to cancel your order. If the order has already shipped, we'll work with you to determine the best solution.

Your order will ship within 2-4 business days of placement. If you need it sooner, feel free to reach out to hello@heydayskincare.com and we'll see what we can do.

You'll receive a confirmation email with a tracking link when your order ships. If your tracking number isn't updating, it can sometimes take the carrier 1-2 business days to update their tracking information. Feel free to email us at hello@heydayskincare.com if you want us to check on it, and we might be able to take a look behind the scenes.

Definitely. We're a team of animal lovers (ask us about our office dog, Bixby) and don't support testing on animals. Every brand we stock is cruelty free and a few are also Leaping Bunny certified: Naturopathica, Ursa Major, and Herbivore Botanicals, to name a few.

Before your order has shipped, we'll do our best to make any requested updates, although we can't guarantee it. Please email hello@heydayskincare.com as soon as you realize you need to change something in your order.

We're sorry to hear that! Please take photos of the damaged product or packaging and email us at hello@heydayskincare.com along with your order number. We'll work with you to resolve it ASAP.

When you and your skin are happy, we're happy. If you weren't pleased with your service, please reach out to us. We don't refund services, but it's important to us that you are 100% satisfied. We'll do everything we can to make things right. For products that are minimally used, we accept exchanges for store credit within 14 days. Unused products may be returned or exchanged within 14 days. If you're unsure if a product is right for you, we'd be glad to make a sample of it for you to try at home before you decide to purchase or not.

Friend of the year status? Check. The best way to gift a facial is by purchasing a gift card. Check out our options here. Kindly note that gift cards are final sale and not refundable.

We have two kinds of Gifts Cards: Online and In-Shop. Online Gift Cards can be purchased through our website, are delivered digitally, and are redeemable online only for skincare tools and products. In-Shop Gift Cards can be purchased both in-shop and online, are delivered physically (for a fun unboxing moment!), and are redeemable in-shop only for products and services.

Nope, but it can be used toward individual facials, enhancements, and in-store products.

Gift cards don't expire, but Facial Packages do. You can initially redeem a Facial Package whenever you'd like, but after the first use, a 3-pack is valid for 6 months, and a 6-pack for 12 months.
